CALL FOR NOMINATIONS, deadline EXTENDED to March 7th 2022
The Swiss Neutron Science Society hereby announces the call for nominations for the 2022 Young Scientist Prize sponsored by SwissNeutronics.
The prize will be awarded to a young scientist in recognition of a notable scientific achievement in the form of a PhD thesis, which was finished within the last two years. The prize is open for all research work using neutron radiation and is not limited to work using neutron scattering.
The science should include the use of neutron radiation, and eligible nominees should have a clear affiliation with Swiss neutron research (be member of the Swiss Neutron Science Society, be based in Switzerland, or have conducted experiments at Swiss neutron facilities). The amount of the prize is CHF 1000.
Nominations for the prize should be submitted to the Swiss Neutron Science Society (sgn@psi.ch) not later than March 7th 2022. Nominations should include:
- A nomination letter including the motivation for the award
- A CV and publication list
- A digital copy of the nominated work (PhD thesis)
- Letters of support from leading scientists in the relevant field are accepted to support the nomination.
Nominations for the prize will be treated confidentially and will be evaluated by a Selection Committee appointed by the board of the Swiss Neutron Science Society.
