Red Shift is the students' representative list of the University of Milano-Bicocca's Physics Department.
It was born from the collaboration of the Bachelor and Master degree students of Physics and Astrophysics.

The list's main aim is a continuos improvement of  education and that is achieved by acting as an intermediary between students and professors. At the same time it organizes events and activities to enrich students' university life.

The representatives of students are elected in the following councils of the Department:

•     Consiglio Coordinamento Didattico (CCD): it includes 13 students and deals with teaching issues such as courses organization and teaching supports.
•     Consiglio di Dipartimento (CdD): it includes 12 students and the Department Director is the chairman. This council deals with issues concerning the management of the Department, in its administrative and financial aspects.
•     Commissione Paritetica Docenti-Studenti (CPDS): it includes 3 students and monitors the quality of education. Its aim is to improve the courses according to students' opinion.

The list also organizes several activities:

• Meetings with researchers aiming to help students in the choice of the master degree courses
• Python programming courses held by students
• Social aperitifs at the beginning and end of the academic year
• Projection of films and documentaries
• Visits to national and international laboratories
• Meetings with leading figures from the scientific world

Specifically, during the 2017/2018 academic year, Red Shift organized two major events: one is a visit to the Gran Sasso INFN Laboratories. The other is a meeting with the European Space Agency astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti and the INAF scientific communicator Stefano Sandrelli.

Currently, the students' representatives, who were elected in the Physics and Astrophysics Department councils for a two-year term (started in November 2021) are:
