On Monday, October 14 the Department Council was the occasion to celebrate 20 years of the Physics Department (inaugurated on September 29, 1999).
The Department Director Giuseppe Gorini retraced some of the most important stages, summarizing the results achieved and the objectives for the near future.
The Rector Giovanna Iannantuoni was present and illustrated the choices that led her to outline the team of ten Pro-Rectors and twelve delegates who will support her in the coming years, among which is Claudia Riccardi, Delegate of the Director for Prevention and Safety and Associate Professor of the Department of Physics. The Rector also spoke about the projects and issues on which the new governance is working and shared with all present a look at the future of the Department and the University.
During the day there was also the award ceremony for the winners of the Visual Arts Competition reserved for students of the Department of Physics, whose works were temporarily exhibited in the Science Gallery and will be posted on the Physics Department premises.
