Internships: 2022 ITER's Internship Program is open for receiving applications for published internship topics from 12:00 AM CET, 1 December 2021 to 11:59 PM CET, 16 February 2022. Only the students who are enrolled in fully accredited degree programs supporting internships (i.e., Bachelors, Master's or PhDs) can apply. More info
Postdoctoral Fellowships: Applicants are requested to apply through the ITER job site (positions will be posted on 17 January 2022).
Time schedule for the 2022 postdoctoral fellowship program:

  • 17 January 2022: External launch of competition
  • 1 March 2022: Deadline for application
  • 4 and 5 April 2022: Candidate interviews
  • 1 September 2022: Fellows normally on site
  • 31 December 2022: Latest date for Fellows to take up award on site

Perimeter Postdoctoral Program 2022/2023

Each year Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics invites applications for postdoctoral positions, including named fellowships, from new and recent PhDs working in fundamental theoretical physics.

Call for applications: Excellence Track in Physics at JGU Mainz

The Mainz Physics Academy (MPA) of the JGU invites applications for the newly established Excellence Track. The Excellence Track is a certificate program designed as an extension of the Master of Science Physics program of JGU for students interested in research and intending to pursue a subsequent doctorate. The program is aimed at high-achieving, research-oriented students and enables them to further develop their scientific knowledge as well as complementary and transferable skills in a structured program. Students who successfully complete the “Excellence Track” together with their Master at JGU degree will be considered strong candidates for a doctorate in one of the research groups in Mainz. A limited number of students of the Excellence Track program can apply for financial support. These scholarships are endowed with €861 per month for a maximum duration of two years.

Mainz Physics Academy - PhD Fellowship in Physics

The Mainz Physics Academy (MPA) offers several PhD Fellowships for outstanding graduates starting fall 2021. The selected fellows will receive an attractive salary (approx. 2/3 of a standard postdoc salary) as well as individual travel and research funds. They can participate in all MPA activities, including lecture courses, seminars, retreats, summer schools, workshops and social events.

The call for proposals for 2021 ended on April 30. A new call is expected to be issued in spring 2022.
