Attività didattica dottorato

For the participation to the graduate program, the student must attend Physics Courses or Residential Schools for a minimum of 8 credits.

  • A. Specific Courses (SP) give 1 credit/8 hours.
    The specific courses are organized at the University of Milano-Bicocca. Credits are assigned upon passing the corresponding exam. At least 4 credits should be taken from specific courses.
  • B. Residential Doctorate Schools on specific topics  give 1 credit/8 hours of lessons with a maximum of 2 credits/school. Credits are assigned when a public seminar is given about the school contents.
  • C. Two credits should be taken from General Courses (research management, intellectual property...) organized by the Doctoral School of the Milano Bicocca University.

In addition, students may take English Courses organized by the Milano Bicocca University. No credit is assigned to English Courses.

The school steering committee advices students to take these courses/schools in the first two years of the program. The student typically attend two-three courses and two residential doctorate schools.
The students must also attend during the year the colloquia organized by the Physics Department.

The costs of the doctorate schools and of the courses are covered by the graduate school.

PhD Students' Seminar Session

At the end of the first and of the second year all students should give a public seminar about their research activity.
